# HearMeDoc Terms of Service **Effective date:** 2026-05-23 (initial release) **Operator:** Honeycutt AI Labs LLC, Princeton, TX, USA **Product:** HearMeDoc at `hearmedoc.com` and any future native-app distribution. By using HearMeDoc you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. You can stop at any time, close the tab, click "Destroy Vault" in Settings, or uninstall the PWA. ## 1. What HearMeDoc is, and is not HearMeDoc is a personal organizer for your own medical records. It runs in your browser, encrypts what you put into it with a key derived from a passphrase only you know, and helps you keep track of conditions, medications, lab results, symptoms, providers, visits, and records-request paperwork. **HearMeDoc is not medical advice.** It is not a diagnostic tool. It is not a prescription tool. The interaction checker, the glossary, the plain-language lab notes, the pain scale, the medication suggestions; every one of these is a typing-aid and educational helper. **Always confirm anything important with a licensed healthcare professional.** Your prescription bottle is the source of truth for what you take. Your doctor is the source of truth for what you have. HearMeDoc is not legal advice. The HIPAA records-request letter cites `45 CFR ยง 164.524` accurately, but laws change and your situation may have specifics that a sample letter doesn't cover. Talk to a lawyer if a request is denied or contested. ## 2. Your vault, your responsibility - You choose your passphrase. We can't reset it. We can't recover your data if you lose it. There is no backdoor. - You are responsible for keeping at least one encrypted `.vault` backup of anything important. The app makes this easy, use it. - Browser-level storage is not the same as disk-level erasure. If you destroy the vault on a shared device, run your operating system's secure-erase tools as well if your threat model requires it. ## 3. License to use the app We grant you a worldwide, royalty-free, revocable license to use HearMeDoc for your own personal medical-record keeping, including for your immediate family (if you choose to track relatives in your own vault). You may not: - Resell access to HearMeDoc. - Misrepresent the software as your own. - Use it to harass, defraud, or harm any person or organization. - Use it to violate any law. ## 4. Premium features HearMeDoc v1 has no premium tier. Every feature is free for the patient. If we add an optional supporter unlock or paid feature in a future version, this section will be updated and the change announced on the home page of `hearmedoc.com` with at least 30 days notice. ## 5. No warranty HearMeDoc is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We don't promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any feature will always work in every browser. We don't promise the bundled state-agency data, NPI Registry snapshot, drug-interaction list, glossary, or any other bundled reference data is current or complete, these are snapshots, not live feeds, and we explicitly say so in the app. ## 6. Limitation of liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, Honeycutt AI Labs LLC and its members, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of HearMeDoc. Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to HearMeDoc will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) US $100. In HearMeDoc v1 there is no premium tier, so paragraph (a) above amounts to zero, the cap is the US $100 floor under paragraph (b). Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations on warranties or damages. In those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law. ## 7. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold Honeycutt AI Labs LLC harmless from any claim, demand, or damage arising out of your use of HearMeDoc, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights. ## 8. Changes to these terms We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the home page of `hearmedoc.com` with at least 30 days notice and a new effective date. ## 9. Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Collin County, Texas. ## 10. Contact Honeycutt AI Labs LLC, Princeton, TX, USA.
